Sculptra - Bio Stimulator
What Is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an advanced collagen-stimulating injectable treatment designed to gradually restore facial support, improve skin firmness and soften the appearance of volume loss.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Sculptra does not simply add immediate volume. It works with your skin by encouraging the production of new collagen, helping to create a fresher, firmer and naturally rejuvenated appearance over time.
Sculptra is ideal for clients who want a subtle, progressive result without looking overfilled or noticeably “done”. Every treatment plan is personalised following a full facial assessment and consultation.
How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, also known as PLLA. Once injected into carefully selected areas, it helps stimulate your skin’s natural collagen production.
You may notice some initial fullness immediately after treatment, but much of this is caused by the water used to prepare the product and will settle. Over the following weeks and months, collagen gradually rebuilds beneath the skin, helping to improve firmness, structure and overall skin quality.
Results develop gradually and are designed to look natural. The treatment is particularly effective when used as part of a planned course rather than as a one-off appointment.

How do I care for my skin after my treatment?
It is important to follow all aftercare advice provided at your appointment. You may be asked to massage the treated areas regularly following Sculptra. Your practitioner will show you exactly how and when to do this.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid heavy exercise, alcohol, swimming, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat. Do not rub or apply pressure to the treated areas other than the massage advised by your practitioner.
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur around the injection sites. Please contact the clinic if you experience anything unexpected or have any concerns following treatment.
What areas can you treat with Sculptra?
Sculptra is commonly used across the cheeks, temples, mid-face, lower face and jawline to improve facial support and soften areas of hollowing or volume loss.
It is generally used to treat broader areas of the face rather than to precisely shape smaller areas such as the lips. The areas treated and number of vials required will depend on your facial structure, existing volume loss and desired result.
Things to avoid before Sculptra treatment
Before your appointment, avoid alcohol for 24 hours and, where medically appropriate, avoid non-essential aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen as these can increase bruising. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to the clinician who prescribed it.
Please arrive with clean skin where possible and tell us about any medication, allergies, previous injectable treatments, dental treatment or changes to your health. Treatment may need to be postponed if you are unwell or have an active infection, cold sore, inflammation or broken skin in the treatment area.
Sculptra is not carried out during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How many treatments will I need?
Sculptra is usually recommended as a course. Most clients require more than one session, although the exact number of appointments and vials varies according to age, facial structure, existing volume loss and treatment goals.
Results develop gradually over the following weeks and months as new collagen is produced. Your full treatment plan, expected results and costs will be explained clearly during your consultation.
Is Sculptra painful?
You may feel mild stinging, pressure or tenderness during the treatment. Steps can be taken to make the appointment as comfortable as possible and this will be discussed during your consultation.
The treatment usually takes approximately 45–60 minutes, including assessment and preparation. Some swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur afterwards, but most clients can return to their normal daily activities.
