Anti Wrinkle Injections
Anti Wrinkle Treatments
Anti Wrinkle treatments are a very popular anti ageing skin treatment for the forehead, frown lines & crows feet. When small doses are applied to the muscles in specific areas, the messages between the muscles & the nerve endings are blocked - this causes the muscle to relax, which in turn reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
This treatment helps to relax the muscles in your face to help with the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Common areas which are treated : Crows feet, frown lines, forehead lines & smokers lines.

What are advanced anti-wrinkle treatments?
Advanced anti-wrinkle treatments are targeted injectable treatments for selected concerns across the lower face, jawline and neck.
When small amounts are placed into carefully selected muscles, they temporarily reduce the muscular pull contributing to concerns such as prominent neck bands, downward mouth corners, chin dimpling or reduced jawline definition.
The lower face and neck are involved in important movements including smiling, speaking and swallowing, so these areas must be treated carefully and conservatively following a detailed facial assessment.
These treatments use prescription-only medication and can only be provided after an appropriate face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber, where treatment is considered suitable.
How do advanced anti-wrinkle treatments work?
The treatment temporarily reduces communication between selected nerves and muscles, allowing the targeted muscles to relax. This can soften excessive muscular pull and create a subtle improvement in the appearance of the lower face or neck.
Advanced anti-wrinkle treatments do not add volume in the way dermal filler does and cannot correct every cause of facial ageing. If your concern is primarily caused by skin laxity or volume loss, treatments such as Morpheus8, Sculptra, dermal filler or skin boosters may be more suitable.
Your practitioner will assess your facial movement, skin quality and structure before recommending the most appropriate treatment or combination plan.
How do I care for my skin after my treatment?
Following treatment, avoid rubbing or applying pressure to the area. You may be advised to remain upright for four hours and avoid heavy exercise, alcohol, swimming, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours.
Temporary redness, small bumps, tenderness or bruising may occur at the injection sites. Makeup should be avoided for the period advised by your practitioner.
Please contact the clinic if you experience anything unexpected or have concerns after treatment. Seek urgent medical attention for serious symptoms such as difficulty swallowing or breathing, widespread weakness or a severe allergic reaction.
What areas can you treat?
Nefertiti neck lift
Targets selected muscles along the lower face and neck to help soften downward pull, improve the appearance of prominent neck bands and create a more refined-looking jaw and neck profile.
Lower-face treatment
Carefully placed treatment may help soften the downward pull at the corners of the mouth, which can contribute to a sad or tired expression.
Jawline refinement
Targets selected muscles that create downward pull around the jawline. This differs from adding structural definition with dermal filler and will not be suitable for every concern.
Chin dimpling
Relaxes overactivity in the chin muscle to soften a dimpled or pebbled appearance.
Masseter treatment
For suitable clients, treatment of the masseter muscles can soften a square appearance caused by muscle bulk. Symptoms such as jaw clenching or grinding may also require dental or medical assessment.
Things to avoid before advanced anti-wrinkle treatment
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment and, where medically appropriate, avoid non-essential aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen as these may increase bruising. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to the clinician who prescribed it.
Please provide a full medical history and tell us about any medication, allergies, previous treatments or changes to your health. Treatment may need to be postponed if you are unwell or have an active infection or inflammation in the treatment area.
Advanced anti-wrinkle treatment is not carried out during pregnancy and is normally avoided while breastfeeding.
How often will I need treatment?
Results are not immediate. You may begin to notice a change within several days, with the full result developing over approximately two weeks.
Results are temporary and longevity varies according to the treatment area, dose, muscle strength and individual response. Your practitioner will advise when further treatment may be appropriate.
Are advanced anti-wrinkle treatments painful?
The treatment uses a very fine needle and most clients describe only mild, brief discomfort. The appointment itself is usually quick, although a consultation and prescribing assessment are required before treatment.
There is generally minimal downtime and most clients return to their usual day immediately afterwards. Mild bruising, redness or small raised bumps can occur temporarily at the injection sites.
